Screen JUMP START SUBSIDY
|
|
Background
Metro Screen allocates resources to subsidise independent productions
through its Jump Start Subsidy Fund.
Metro's Jump Start Production Subsidy Committee meets 4 times
per year to consider applications. The Committee typically comprises
representatives of the Metro Board, Facilities Department and
the independent production industry. Applicants should be realistic
about the amount of subsidy sought and note that the committee
expects a cash contribution by all applicants unless extenuating
financial circumstances exist. Applicants will be notified with
in three working weeks whether their application has been successful.
Digital
Salon Jump Start Subsidy
A separate allocation of money is set-aside for the digital salon
group. If you are creating digital works of any kind we strongly
encourage you to apply through this stream. The only restriction
is that we do not fund linear digital video films. You should
apply for the General Jump Start Subsidy for this.
We also encourage salon submitters to apply in accordance to the
deadlines outlined below, however electronic submissions will
be taken at anytime and assessed by an independent person.
