BELLINGEN:
Video Production Workshop [Feb – Mar 2002]
With CTP funding through the NSW Department of Education and Training
(Hunter Region) the Mobile Unit provided 140 hours of accredited
training in video production for 12 people living in Bellingen.
The youngest student won three categories in the 2002 Coffs Harbour
Cool Bananas Film Festival.

WOOLLONGONG AND NEWCASTLE: Raw Nerve Productions [Jan – May 2002]
Our Raw Nerve initiative with AFC Film Development and Marketing
Unit included emerging regional filmmakers from Woollongong and
Newcastle. Both films were shot in and around local locations
using the Mobile Unit equipment.

CAMPBELLTOWN: Young People’s Workshop [Jun 2002]
In conjunction with Campbelltown City Bicentennial Art Gallery,
11 marginalised young people between the ages of 17 and 25 received
34 hours of video production training and produced four short
videos. The works included documentaries on the positives of skateboarding
in western Sydney; a documentary on youth suicide & two music
videos.

NORTHERN NSW: BIG hART
[Aug 2002]
The Mobile Unit provided equipment for shooting extra footage and editing
on BIG hART’s “Knot at Home” project, a documentary about
local Aboriginal women in Moree, Tingha, Gunnedah and Armidale.
ALBURY AND KEMPSEY: Vibe Australia [Oct 2002]
Vibe is a national indigenous magazine and website covering sport,
music, entertainment, health and lifestyle. Vibe used the Mobile
Unit equipment to video the indigenous 3X3 sporting + music events
in Albury and Kempsey.
CAMPBELLTOWN: Cultural Fashion Night
[Oct 2002]
This 37-hour project included video production training and covered
a documentary of Campbelltown City Council’s Cultural Fashion
Night. Five young people from different nationalities produced
an 8-minute documentary included interviews with participants,
behind the scenes of the show and the catwalk models.
