This workshop is once again held on-site at Metro Screen participants will broadcast from a state of the art HD multi camera television studio facility and be guided by highly experienced professional broadcast Producer/Director Colin Nicholson. Colin has been Producing and Directing multi camera procedures since 1987. Starting with the ABC working in News, Current Affairs, Rural, Religious, Awards and Sport Coverage. After a stint at OptusVision he went Freelance, specialising in live environments such as International and National events including Olympics, Commonwealth Games and Sporting World Championships. Colin has been working in Reality Television, most recently Big Brother 2008.
Participants will conceive and produce short segments for a live-streamed Multi-cam studio television broadcast. They will collaboratively develop their program concepts into a live web streamed broadcast through professional tuition and hands-on practice.
The live stream multicam broadcast workshop will:
• Run over 5 days [July 27-July 31, 9:30am-5pm]
• Cover concept development, key crew roles, directing & streaming
• Produce a live streamed broadcast via a dedicated host server
• Be conducted in a brand new studio facility on site at Metro Screen
• Tutored and supported by practice industry professionals
• Cost $175
Applicants are required provide an outline for a five minute segment for a program that can be realistically realized for a simple low budget multi camera generated live television program.
